South, the top seed in CIF-SS Division 4, will host Aliso Niguel in Thursday’s final at 7 p.m.

The South Torrance wrestling team is back in a familiar position.

The Spartans, the top seed in the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 Dual Meet bracket, are in the finals and will host Aliso Niguel Thursday at 7 p.m.

This will be South’s sixth finals appearance in the last seven years. South won four consecutive Dual Meet championships from 2019-2022, missed 2023 and lost in the finals last season, losing to Victor Valley in the Division 3 final.

South defeated Hillcrest (59-9), La Mirada (50-17) and Warren (44-33) in Saturday’s first-day action at Aliso Niguel.

Aliso Niguel defeated Highland (51-29), Downey (51-23) and Arroyo (37-35).

The finals match will start at 144 pounds.
